Corsage

The petals pink, overlapping each other like lovers’ legs.
Sepals green, complimenting the beauty in it’s magnificent form.
Exquisite, the rose was, for that women beg.
As her eyes fall on the flower, her heart warm.

Skies were blue, clouds float by. Far from any storm.
Her skin was fine, smooth, pale.
Her arm slender, exceptional, from the norm.
I slipped the corsage onto her wrist, a scene from a fairy tale.

As we walked through the garden, the rose still prevail.
Through the evening, we walked, the flower on her arm.
A similar one, pinned on my chest. But only admirable on a lower scale.
Night arrived. We set our roses on the bedside, away from harm.

As we have foreseen, the flower wilted away,
but we knew, our love will never stray.

Water

Clear river flowing,
From the top of the mountain,
To the blue ocean.

Wind

The strong gale blows
Whoosh by the window beside
My bed in the night.

Dream

Sinking into the depths of my bed
The soft pillow caressing my head
Darkness embraces with it’s pitch black tendrils
It drags me into a world, stripping away my will.

Simon Li

He’s short, he’s funny, he’ll get you rolling
Simon Li is the master of trolling
You ask him “how was the test?”
All he says it “do your best!”
That's when you know, he’s actually failing.

Friends

A hand
Extended out,
Lifted me to my feet.
Friends are there to help you along.
With trust.

Love

Waited.
Doors opened,
Stepped off the train.
She stood on the platform,
Patiently waiting with her time.
Fell in.
Love.

Music

Eyes closed, the bus moving up and down.
Ear phones plugged into my ears, blocking off the world.
Every beat, every note makes my heart relax.
End of a song, a beginning of another.

Escape from sadness, filled by happiness.
